Report: LSU WR John Diarse transferring to TCU
Former LSU WR John Diarse has reportedly found his new school.
According to Horned Frog Blitz, Diarse is transferring to TCU. He announced he was transferring from LSU last week. He graduated in December so he's eligible to play for the Horned Frogs immediately.
The New Orleans Times-Picayune listed TCU as a possible transfer destination when Diarse's transfer was announced.
Diarse will likely step in and get some significant playing time in 2016 with TCU. The Horned Frogs lose wide receivers Josh Doctson and Kolby Listenbee to the NFL. Both were seniors in 2015.
TCU will also be breaking in a new quarterback. Former Texas A&M quarterback Kenny Hill will be competing with Foster Sawyer to be the starting quarterback. Sawyer saw playing time in 2015 against Kansas and Oklahoma while Hill sat out the season due to transfer
Diarse had 13 catches for 137 yards in 2015. In 2014 he had 15 catches for 275 yards and three touchdowns. He had four of his 13 catches on the season in the Texas Bowl vs. Texas Tech.
He's a former four-star recruit and was the No. 31 wide receiver in the country in the class of 2013 according to Rivals. He'll have two years of eligibility at TCU. The school is also keeping offensive coordinators Sonny Cumbie and Doug Meacham for 2016. Cumbie was courted by Texas to be the OC with the Longhorns and Meacham had been mentioned as a candidate at Texas A&M.
